Our Vision:
To educate Tauranga and the nation about the Battles of Gate Pā/Pukehinahina and Te Ranga, and to engage all through the events leading up to the 150th Commemoration on 29 April 2014 and into the future.
He whakaoho i Te Moana o Tauranga me te motu whānui ki ngā kōrero tuku iho e pā ana ki te pakanga o Pukehinahina, me te paihere mai i te whānuitanga o te tangata mā ngā kaupapa huhua tae noa atu ki te Whakamaharatanga 150 a te 29 o Aperīra.
Our Objectives:
* To establish the Battles of Gate Pā/Pukehinahina and Te Ranga as an occasion to be commemorated every year and remind ourselves of how far we have come as a community, and how far we have to go
* Raise community awareness and understanding of the historical heritage associated with Gate Pā/Pukehinahina and Te Ranga
* Draw the community together through their shared legacy
* Creating Community Heritage Sites available to the local community and visitors
